The idea appeared suddenly - somewhere between a thought and a sketch. From the beginning it was clear it would be a cloud.
It was made by hand, in one brief moment of focus. The rest was done by light and presence.
The face remains hidden. It belongs to no one in particular.
The cloud is not a prop. It occupies space. It asserts its presence.
The body ceases to be just a form. It becomes a landscape - a place where something is happening, though it is hard to name.
